The Good Climate for Counties

On the 1 st of September 2010 Institute for Sustainable Development in partnership with Association of Polish Counties started implementation of the project "The Good Climate for Counties". Project is financed by LIFE+ and National Fund for Environment Protection and Water Management.
Project main objective is to raise the awareness of local leaders at county level of climate change and to stimulate the initiatives to take practical local measures to protect the climate and adapt to its change and operational objectives are:
- launching of cooperation among territorial self-government units for the protection of climate and adaptation to its change.
- enhancing the activity of local leaders and focusing their activity on measures for the protection of climate and adaptation to its change.
- an indication and promotion of a way of integrating the issues of climate protection and adaptation to climate change into local development programming processes.
Project end date is expected on 31 August 2010.
